The summer school will take place at the Institut d’Optique d’Aquitaine in Talence.
All presentations will be given in the amphitheater on the ground floor.

ACCOMMODATION

Attendees will be hosted either in single or twin rooms at the Alfred Kastler High School, a 10-minute walk from the Summer School venue.
The rooms can also accommodate a maximum of 3 students.
Upon registration, attendees will have to indicate with whom they would like to share a room.

Room keys will be handed over from 11am to 12.30am and from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Monday 8th, July.

At the end of the summer school, you will be asked to check out at 9:00 am on Friday 12th, July before the first presentation of the day.

HOW TO GET THERE

By plane

The nearest airport is Bordeaux-Mérignac airport.

From Bordeaux Bordeaux-Mérignac airport, use the public transport :

  • Take the Bus N°39 “Pessac Photonique” and change at “Gare Pessac Alouette”.
  • From the “Gare Pessac Alouette”, take the tramway B (direction : Berges de la Garonne) and stop at “Arts & Métiers” station.

By train

The closest train station is Bordeaux Saint-Jean SNCF train station. (6 km from Talence)
Both regional trains and TGVs have a stop in Bordeaux.

Drive in the direction of Bordeaux. Talence is just a few kilometers from the center of Bordeaux.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

  • Maximum number of participants: ~50 undergraduates and Ph.D. students
  • Registration fees : € 50
  • Registration fees include the following for all participants : accommodation, coffee breaks, lunches and the special event dinner. They also include participation in all presentations, company visits, poster session, job fair and social event. Only evening meals are not included (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).
  • Participants must make their own arrangements to get to the summer school venue.
